Lid tear repair

Eyelid injuries occur after contact with sharp or blunt objects, toxic substances, or source of thermal or electromagnetic energy. Lid margin lacerations invariably gape and must therefore be carefully sutured within 24 hours with perfect alignment to prevent notching.
